EXCESS (Explosion of Chemical Engineering Study Activities) is a form of event organized by the Chemical Engineering Student Association (Himatemia) Faculty of Engineering, University of Lampung. The EXCESS event itself is an annual activity held with the aim of increasing the existence of Himatemia FT Unila so that it can be widely known by foreign students and the general public. The EXCESS event was held with the aim of exploring students' potential in the academic field as well as increasing students' aspirations and competitive spirit in the form of competitions.
EXCESS 2022 held a National Seminar themed "The Role of Youth in Fuel Industry Innovation," featuring speakers from the Indonesian Bioenergy Expert Association, Pertamina Geothermal, and the Director of Bioenergy.
EXCESS 2023 held a Science and Essay Competition, along with a Grand Seminar attended by over 700 participants, featuring with Vina Muliana and Dr. Ir. Dadan Kusdiana, M.Sc.
The event is a part of EXCESS 2025, organized by the Chemical Engineering Student Association of Universitas Lampung, and consists of three key activities:
